Choices: This program is encouraged and promoted by Sheriff Eddy and developed by Deputy Kelly Snyder. Choices has become a successful program now syndicated outside of Iowa and is expected to become known nation wide. It is a program unlike DARE. It provides less details about drugs and leans to encouraging students to make the right Choices in life. Educating students in making the right Choices prepares our children for more then drug awareness. This Deputy Kelly Snyder has received State recognized awards for this program. Click here for more information on the Choices program. Crime prevention efforts: Sheriff Eddy promotes and encourages the use of the FARM ID program. This is a program that identifies farm equipment in the event of a theft or burglary nation wide. Contact Chuck for your FARM ID number.
Farm Watch Program: Sheriff Eddy has strengthened the farm watch program. Deputies check on farmsteads while their owners are away. Contact Chuck if you would like your homestead added or removed from this program. Education in the Schools and groups:

Buena Vista County in the education of personal safety, drug education and awareness
