Choices:  This program is encouraged and promoted by Sheriff Eddy and developed by  Deputy Kelly Snyder.  Choices has become a successful program now syndicated outside of Iowa and is expected to become known nation wide.  It is a program unlike DARE. It provides less details about drugs and leans to encouraging students to make the right Choices in life. Educating students in making the right Choices prepares our children for more then drug awareness. This  Deputy Kelly Snyder has received State recognized awards for this program. Crime prevention efforts: Sheriff Eddy promotes  and encourages the use of the FARM ID program. This is a program that identifies farm equipment in the event of a theft or burglary nation wide.  Contact Chuck for your FARM ID number.

Crime Prevention Network: Sheriff Eddy has established a successful email alert program called CPN, Crime Prevention Network. This program is designed to notify the public of scam and crime alerts, crime prevention tips and business alerts by email.  Contact Chuck to be added or removed from this program.

Farm Watch Program: Sheriff Eddy has strengthened the farm watch program. Deputies check on farmsteads while their owners are away. Contact Chuck if you would like your homestead added or removed from this program.

Education in the Schools and groups: Sheriff Chuck Eddy participates with Paramedics, Fire Departments, Drivers Education Teachers and School Teachers throughout Buena Vista County in the education of personal safety, drug education and awareness programs.
